Teacher Natalie is excited to join the Oasis community this year. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Science Education at CSUMB, a Master's degree in Education at CSU Hayward, and a Doctorate degree in Education at Fielding Graduate University where she focused on Environmental Education. She is currently in school with Cal State Teach to earn her California Teaching Credential. She has previously taught PreK-6th grade science and reading with the Lyceum of Monterey County, Middle and High School summer programs in science and college readiness, and for 14 years she has taught environmental science and environmental studies courses in writing and senior projects at CSUMB.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, her three adult sons and their families, including her three granddaugthers. She has two dogs and a pet snake.  Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, SCUBA, snorkeling, walking on the beach, reading, and gardening. She volunteers with the Sierra Club and Citizens for Sustainable Marina. She also enjoys cooking and baking vegan food.
