My name is Priscilla Manzo. I was born and raised here in Salinas. I am currently attending Hartnell College to receive my Associates degree in Elementary School Preparation; which I have a year left in. I plan to further my education by attending a 4 year University, to earn my bachelor’s degree and my K-8th credentials to become an elementary school teacher. I’ve always enjoyed working with kids; before I started working here at oasis I would volunteer my free time helping in elementary schools, and places such as the Boys & Girls club. I started off being an instructional assistant in the Life After School Program, here at Oasis, and now lead the Program. It’s a pleasure to work with the kids and give them a helping hand. I enjoy doing different activities during my spare time, such as going to the beach, kayaking, baking, going to amusement parks, and spending time with my goddaughter. Another one of my favorite hobbies is arts and crafts. I also lead the arts/crafts activities in the After School Program, and it’s something I’ve always enjoyed, especially during my free time, I like to decorate for events, organize, and do crafty projects. My first year at Oasis has been a great experience, with the help of my supporting staff, and I look forward to the upcoming school years.
